Aleph Alpha releases Kolibri open weights with 78B total parameters, about 3B active and up to 1M context

Aleph Alpha released Kolibri on October 3, an English-German mixture-of-experts model with 78B total parameters, roughly 3B active parameters and context lengths up to one million tokens. The company published the full weights under Apache 2.0 and describes an end-to-end training pipeline spanning data curation, pretraining, post-training and evaluation.
